The Palić Lake Duathlon combines running and cycling
on a unique course along the shores of Lake Palić.
1. What Is the Palić Lake Duathlon?
The Palić Lake Duathlon is a multisport event that combines two running segments with one cycling segment. It is one of the disciplines within the sport of triathlon.
The race is organized in accordance with the rules of the Triathlon Federation of Serbia and is open to everyone—from elite and experienced athletes to recreational participants who want to discover the excitement of duathlon.
All four race categories take place on the same day on a scenic course along the shores of Lake Palić, featuring professional race organization, electronic timing, and officiating by certified race officials.

2. HOW DOES THE RACE WORK?

START - RUNNING
The run starts at the start arch located near the entrance barrier at the beginning of the promenade by the Weekend Resort area. The course follows the lakeside promenade, passing several cafés and restaurants before continuing through the Weekend Resort area towards the Petra Winery. Athletes complete two laps of equal length. At the end of the second lap, competitors leave the run course and continue approximately 50 metres to the transition area.

TRANSITION
The transition area is located between the running and cycling segments. It is a secure, restricted area supervised by race officials and volunteers. After completing the run, athletes collect the equipment they left in their transition boxes, take their bicycles, and run with them to the bike start. Once they cross the mount line, they may mount their bicycles and begin the cycling segment.

BIKE SEGMENT
The cycling segment begins with a 200-metre approach before a sharp right turn onto Novi Sad Road. Athletes then complete four laps of equal length. Competitors are responsible for counting their own laps. After completing the fourth lap, they continue straight for approximately 100 metres past the turnaround point before making a sharp left turn. Race officials will indicate the end of the cycling segment. Athletes must dismount at the dismount line, then run with their bicycles back into the transition area.

SECOND RUN - FINISH
After returning to the transition area, athletes change back into their running gear and head out onto the same course as the first running segment, this time completing just one lap. The race finishes on the final stretch leading from the transition area, with athletes crossing the finish arch. After crossing the finish line, athletes enter the finish area, where they will receive their finisher's medal and enjoy refreshments, professional race photos, congratulations, and the unforgettable atmosphere of the finish.

For athletes under the age of 18 who are not members of a triathlon club, written consent from a parent or legal guardian is required. If the athlete is a member of a triathlon club, the registration form may be signed by their coach when collecting the race packet.

The organizer shall not be held liable for any injuries sustained by athletes, or for any loss of or damage to sports equipment or personal belongings.

Medical assistance will be available along the course and in the finish area.

Priority is given to athletes holding a valid license issued by their national triathlon federation. Athletes without a valid license may purchase a one-day race license at the registration desk for RSD 500, provided they present a valid medical certificate issued within the last six months.

Time trial (TT) bicycles and aerodynamic handlebar extensions (aero bars) are not permitted. Drafting is allowed only between athletes of the same gender.

A helmet must be worn at all times during the cycling segment. Athletes must follow the instructions of the race officials at all times.

Your race bib will be included in your race packet. Attach the provided race number stickers to your helmet and underneath your bicycle saddle.
